The Chair of Natural Sciences of ASUE Gyumri branch was established in 2005. At different times the chair of natural sciences was led by:
From 2005 to 2006 and from 2012 to 2018, – Phys. Doctor Andrei Mergevos Avetisyan,
2006-2012 – Phys., Associate Professor Paruyr Tsaruk Gomtsyan.
The mission of the department is to train highly qualified specialists with a high level of knowledge and practical skills in the University of Economics.
From the date of creation of the department, consistent work is being carried out to involve highly qualified professors, to provide the necessary level of scientific and pedagogical level, to increase the efficiency of the educational process and to carry out research work, which will contribute to the improvement of management methods in economics, risk assessment, planning and forecasting.
The Chair has set itself a task to form a culture of mathematical thinking, which will become the basis for mastering the best of various subjects and for effective solution of many applied problems.
The Department also carries out a great deal of work aimed at improving the knowledge of foreign language teachers and students.
There are 3 professors, 5 associate professors, 3 assistant professors, 9 lecturers. Three of them defended their thesis in the years of teaching at our university. Thanks to innovations and improvements, we provide a proper level of teaching.
